Once upon a time The Redhead fell in love, she fell in love with this man whom it seemed that the fates had been conspiring since they were young for the two to be together.  They were only together for what was way too short of a time, before The Redhead made a sacrifice for a dear friend.   There was no happily ever after.

I look back and have had to question if it’s been so painful because it was that kind of love that rarely comes along, or because over time it’s become over-romanticized in my head, or if it’s the grass is greener syndrome.  I subscribe to the theory of everything happens for a reason.  There are lessons to be learned and it’s up to us to figure out what those lessons are.  If we cannot learn from the past, we are doomed to repeat our mistakes.  (Churchill ?)
